but go into human interface devices and see if there are any greyed out. Uninstall any Xbox controllers shown (don't delete the driver software, just uninstall anything seen under Xbox controllers). In the top menu go to "View" and "Show Hidden Devices" Open "Device Manager" in Windows (right click start menu, find Device Manager)

I hope the people struggling with this see this.ĭisconnect all controllers from Windows. Ill leave a list of what ive done so far to try to troubleshoot.Įnable different control settings, launch game in that, then switch back to controller and relaunch. If anyone has any recommendations i would love to hear them. I could by a wheel, but i would have to save up for a long time as i wouldnt want to buy a shit one. I love this game, but playing it with keyboard isnt really an option.

as a side note, i did not update ds4windows when the game broke, and updating it now changed nothing. I do not beleive ds4windows would be the problem as it has been fine with the other 60 hours ive played in this game, and my controller still works fine in all other games. I use a ps4 controller with ds4windows to adapt it and make it behave as a xbox controller. I do not have a wheel so i cannot test that. If i set the game up with the keyboard as the controls the game works fine. I can't turn the wheels, shift gears, rev the engine, turn on the lights, you name it. The problem is when i get in game, the car wont respond at all. This tells me that the game recognizes the controller and is recognizing the input. I know this because when i go to the controller settings and move my joysticks around/push down the triggers or whatever, the slider bars in the bottom left move. with a few weird quirks.įirst off, the game recognizes my controller in the main menu. 2 days ago after putting 60 hours into the game just fine my controller stopped working in assetto corsa.
